Trombé Bench
This bench (originally designed for Trombé Ltd in 2001) was awarded the Prince's Medal at the V&A Classic Design Awards in 2002. Designed with comfort in mind and made in Iroko hardwood with distinctive alternating round and square Walnut inlays where the slats are fixed to the frame. Suitable for outdoor use, it can be supplied in untreated timber which will weather to a silver-grey colour after about two years, or it can have an oiled finish for use in a conservatory..
Handmade to order by Chris Eckersley in his Birmingham workshop.
