Devon Chair
This is a wide, low, comfortable chair, made for relaxing (not dining height). Made in English Ash it is of 'Windsor' construction - ie the legs and spindles fit into the solid seat. The seat is cut to shape, then cut into three, angled, and re-assembled to form a gentle hollow This chair was awarded a Design Guild Mark by the Worshipful Company of Furnituremakers in 2012.
Individually made by hand by Chris Eckersley in his Birmingham workshop.
